Specifically developed on the request of the United States Marine Corps, the VLTOR A5 Buffer System is considered to be one the most beneficial upgrades to the AR platform in the last increasing the reliability, accuracy, and performance of AR pattern weapons. For the operator that requires a specially weighted buffer, or wants to fine tune their weapon, the VLTOR A5 buffers come in five unique weights.

NOTE: A5 buffers are only compatible with other VLTOR A5 buffer system components. The buffers themselves are longer than traditional carbine buffers, and they cannot be used in standard carbine receiver extensions.

Export Control:
Many of VLTOR’s products are export controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Shipments from VLTOR may contain products controlled by the U.S. DoS or the U.S. DoC. Export of such items may not be done without prior approval from the U.S. Government and VLTOR.

I have a BCM intermediate buffer kit with a rifle length spring and a A5-H0 buffer and my 16 inch mid-length just runs great. It ejects 55 grain cases at 3 o’clock and shoots pretty soft with the BCM Mod 0 comp. I recently purchased a Geissele Super 42 rifle spring and a VLTOR H5-H2 just so I can compare the two. I almost went with the H! but I contacted VLTOR customer service and they recommended the H2. I hope to update this later with some positive feedback on the new combo.
