The QDM-14 gives the user the ability to have a bottom mounted Picatinny rail and a push button side sling mount without modifying the original GI fiberglass handguard assembly.
PLEASE NOTE:
The QDM-14 does not fit the new version of the Vltor Improved Modstock chassis that utilizes the carbon composite forend. The carbon composite forend was bolstered in the front and no longer has the same dimensions as the original GI fiberglass stock. For more information, please message us at TechSupport@Vltor.com

1. Which M1A/M14’s will this rail fit?
This will fit most fiberglass handguards as well as Springfield’s new Nylon stocks with brass inserts.

I would like to add that I took a 60’s or a 20th century weapon and turned it into a 21st century weapons system with the help of Vltor. I carried the M-14 in Nam in 1967. I wish we would have had this type of system then. The m-16 was a, well why kick a dead horse.
Vltor has put a pack together that is second to none, All the parts fit, as they said it would in the directions. All of the system is well built. It does not rattle or make any sound. All part fit nice an snug.
I know you say it is expensive. Yes it is but you get what you pay for and then some. It depends on what you use this for. target shooting home defense or hunting. You can depend on this system taking care of you if that time ever comes. they have made me a believer. I want to thank all at Vltor for their customer service. They have been top notch from beginning to end to this old man.
