VLTOR CASV-M-2E: CASV Handguard, Extended Mid-length for Mid-length Gas System, M-LOK™

Like all CASV systems, the CASV-M-2E relies on “piggy-back” mounting to the top of a “flat-top” M4 or M16A4 upper receiver. This chassis features a removable lower handguard, which allows the access of an M203 grenade launcher. The smooth body construction allows multiple M-LOK™ mounting points, adaptable to any mission needs.

The CASV-M-2E is designed to accommodate a mid-length gas system rifle with a low profile micro gas block as a drop on replacement handguard. This handguard is designed to fit over the low profile micro gas block on a standard mid-length rifle. Taking from the same battle proven design as the CASV-EL-2, the new CASV-M-2E is extended to fit the common mid-length handguard design. To safely clear the end of the handguard, we do not recommend using a barrel shorter than 11.5″ with a standard muzzle device. Handguard section OAL is 10″.

The CASV-M-2E features a removable lower handguard section.

Like all CASVs, the CASV-M-2E relies on the use of the Delta Ring for a more secure mounting point. Vltor does not recommend that any CASV handguard be used without the standard Delta Ring assembly.

This CASV chassis is made entirely of aluminum with exception to the stainless steel mounting hardware. After mounted, the CASV-M-2E adds 1.09lbs (17.5oz) to the firearm’s overall weight.

Installation note: The installation of this handguard does not require any modifications to the firearm except for the removal of the sight tower sling swivel (if your carbine is equipped with one).
