The MUR-1S is a rigid Mil-Spec flat-top upper made to fit all AR15/M16 M4 rifles and carbines. The MUR was developed to give the customer a Mil-Spec correct upper receiver with a thicker wall, making the MUR upper receiver a stronger platform. This more rigid upper receiver will increase accuracy and reliability, while extending the life of the interfacing components. The MUR-1S comes with a one-piece machined shell deflector only.

PLEASE NOTE:
Due to our Lifetime Warranty, we advise that you not remove or attempt to remove your shell deflector. The shell deflector is pinned in place during factory assembly. Our Lifetime Warranty covers all of our products as long as they are not modified in any way (i.e. disassembly). We do offer a service in house that will maintain your Lifetime Warranty. 1. What kind of mounting block should I use?

We recommend that you use the Geissele Reaction Rod for installation. Damage could incur if you use clamp style mounting blocks or blocks that do not support the upper internally. This could void your warranty.

2. How do you remove the forward assist to install a custom dust cover?

Due to our Lifetime Warranty, we advise that you not remove or attempt to remove your forward assist. Our Lifetime Warranty covers all of our products as long as they are not modified in any way (i.e. disassembly). We do offer a service in house that will maintain your Lifetime Warranty. Please contact us to arrange this service.

3. Is your upper forged or billet?

All of our uppers are made from forgings.

4. Does the barrel extension on your upper require thermal fitting?

No, our uppers are made to mil-spec tolerances to ensure fitment with all barrels including those with oversized extensions.

5. Do you make a MUR that is compatible with .308?

We do not current have a .308 compatible MUR available; however, our Research and Development team is exploring this area.

6. What type of coating is applied to the MUR-1S-T Tan MUR and Foliage Green?

We use KG Industries GunKote on these uppers.
